WHAT IT IS
Apple Cider Vinegar is a deep amber colored vinegar produced through the fermentation of apples. Our unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar still contains what is called the "mother of vinegar," a gelatinous substance or film composed chiefly of acetic bacteria that can make the vinegar appear cloudy. While this "mother" may not look so appetizing to the eyes, it in fact contains beneficial nutrients and has important medicinal value. You can even save the mother and transfer it to other containers with vinegar…like kombucha!

WHY WE LOVE IT
Apple cider vinegar is known for its ability to remove surface buildup from the hair and bind to minerals and metals allowing them to be rinsed away (especially important if you have hard water). The result is beautifully clean, soft, shiny hair. These impressive clarifying and chelating properties can be attributed to acetic acid, a mild chelator and primary component of apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar also helps balance the pH of hair, which makes hair more resistant to breakage and helps to eliminate frizz. If that's not enough, apple cider vinegar has excellent anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and is useful in the treatment of skin conditions such as dandruff and acne.

WHERE WE GET IT FROM
Our apple cider vinegar comes from organic German apples that are fermented into vinegar in Germany.

CERTIFICATIONS
Our apple cider vinegar is certified organic under EU organic farming regulations and Germany’s Bioland.
