WHAT IT IS
Hibiscus, a close relative to the marshmallow plant, is a flowering annual with large brightly colored flowers ranging from white, yellow, orange, purple to deep red.

WHY WE LOVE IT
Some of the hair and skin friendly constituents of hibiscus are mucilage, pectins and organic acids. The combination of these nutrients gives hibiscus a reputation for improving skin elasticity and helping the hair and skin retain moisture. Historically, hibiscus has been eaten as a delicacy and for medicinal purposes; worn as hair decoration; drunk as a tea; used as perfume; and applied as hair and skin treatments.

WHERE WE GET IT FROM
Our hibiscus is produced in Egypt. Our hibiscus extracts are produced in-house here at Isangs over a minimum of 1 month using a combination of organic vegetable glycerin and organic apple cider vinegar as an extraction medium.

CERTIFICATIONS
Our hibiscus is certified organic by the Soil Association.
