WHAT IT IS
Olive oil has been used for centuries and is pressed from the Olea Europaea tree, a traditional tree of the Mediterranean Basin. Virgin olive oil is pure unrefined olive oil obtained through mechanical or physical methods without the addition of additives, solvents or any other condition that leads to alterations in the oil. Extra virgin olive oil is virgin olive oil with a free acidity of not more than 0.8 grams per 100 grams. This matters because as olive oil degrades the free acidity level increases. So, the lower the free acidity level, the higher grade olive oil.

 

WHY WE LOVE IT
Extra virgin olive oil is an excellent moisturizer that softens the skin and adds shine and softness to hair. It is penetrative and contains lots beneficial of fatty acids plus vitamins E, A, D and K. Additionally, extra virgin olive oils naturally contain high levels of antioxidants such as polyphenols and tocopherol (Vitamin E) which help to repair and protect the skin.

 

WHERE WE GET IT FROM
All of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from Canaan, a cooperative of Palestinian farmers located in the Palestinian occupied territories.
